I'm Ghislain.
Full-stack developer for six years, across in-house roles and freelance. I build products that serve a concrete goal: selling, saving time, serving customers.

My story
Who I am
I started out in industrial electronics. What fascinated me was automation: a door that recognizes the person walking in, a machine that does its job without anyone having to think about it. I built my own radio, with its amplifier and speakers, and did all the electrical wiring in my home myself. That is when I understood what I loved: building things that make life simpler.
Software development carried that drive further. Freelancing alongside entrepreneurs is where I found what truly makes me proud: solving a real problem in their business and seeing them happy. Not because it is spectacular, but because it matters to them and to their business.
When you trust me with a project, I treat it as if it were my own. I ask about your day-to-day work and your constraints, I suggest improvements you may not have thought of, and you make the decisions. You know your business, I know mine: we move forward together. I never promise what cannot be done. If an idea is not realistic, I tell you before we start.
Outside of code, I am an open, cheerful person. I love music, football and keeping up with what is happening in the world. You can tell me anything, and that is often how the best projects move forward.
Today I work from Nairobi with clients in Europe, Africa, the United States and Canada, in English and French.
How I work
Four commitments
I tell you what's possible
And what isn't, before we start, not after.
I deliver what's written
The quote is the reference: scope, price, date.
I build to last
Clean, documented code that others can pick up.
I stay reachable
Replies within 2 hours during the day, regular check-ins during the project.
